The High Street runs between the top of Sheep Street and the junction of Bridge Street and Wood Street. With the imposing stone Town Hall at one end the High Street is probably the most shopped street in the town.

Town Square (formerly Bell Court) is accessed through a huge wood and glass entrance from teh centre of the street between Debenhams and Lush. Although only relatively recently developed, Town Square is once again under the spotlight for rumoured regeneration and redevelopment projects.
